There's Always Somebody Better Than You (So Keep Trying Harder)
After painting the artwork for The Best Piece of Advice Ever book, I thought I'd share my own my words of wisdom (or warning).
Like Gemma Butler (whose advice I illustrated in the book) my scrap of advice came from my dad, who once told me that in the world, there will always be somebody better. This grounding shook off any early shoots of arrogance, and over the years it has become a motivating mantra to work harder (I added the 'so keep trying harder' bit myself).
